About basketweave
basketweave is a simple Apple Music player designed for children. A parent or guardian signs in with their own Apple Music account, chooses which playlists are visible, and hands the device to their kid — a calm, distraction-free way to listen to music without the rest of a full music app's menus and controls.

Does basketweave require Apple Music?
Yes. An active Apple Music subscription is required on both iOS and Android.
Why don't I see any playlists?
Make sure Apple Music access has been granted in your device's settings (iPhone Settings, or app permissions on Android) and that playlists exist in your Apple Music library.
How do I choose which playlists are visible?
Open the playlist editor from the app's parent/settings screen and select the playlists you want your child to be able to access. Everything else stays hidden from the main player.
Music stopped playing in the background — what happened?
Check that background app refresh / battery optimization isn't restricting basketweave, and that notifications are allowed so the playback controls can stay active. On Android, some manufacturers aggressively kill background apps; adding basketweave to your battery optimization allow-list usually fixes this.
Can my child accidentally change playlists or settings?
The player view is intentionally limited to playback controls, so there's nothing in the main screen to change playlist selection or app settings. Editing visible playlists requires going back through the parent/settings screen.
Is basketweave available on both iOS and Android?
Yes — basketweave is built separately for iOS and Android, but both versions work the same way and share this support page and privacy policy.
